Ventilation Roof Products
A tale of two ventilation systems, the very conspicuous 'old' and the concealed and silent 'new'.
Roof spaces which are not ventilated, means that homes or buildings are both hotter in Summer and colder in Winter. Unventilated roof spaces also generates more damaging condensation which forms water which can damage ceilings and timbers, as well as becoming an ideal environment for unhealthy fungi to grow.
These 'ventilation' roofing products can change all that. They were invented in Australia by an experienced roofer who was asked to solve a major roof space condensation problem in a newly constructed multi million dollar home, as the owner did not want ugly venting objects sticking out of the roof of his new home. They solved the problem immediately.
This innovative and virtually invisible range of universal tile ventilators can be installed with the major choices of roofing namely Corrugated or Colorbond metal sheeting, Concrete and Terra Cotta tiled roofs. Easily Installed from the outside, they are ideal for existing, new homes or buildings. For Corrugated or Colorbond units, simply install 2 to 4 pairs in an average sized home. For Concrete and Terra Cotta tiled roofs you simply substitute 2 to 5 pairs of tiles which are made of strong 0.55mm base metal thickness Australian Zincalume by Bluescope.
For existing concrete or terracotta tiled homes with broken tiles, by installing these products, you have two 'wins', the first being that you free up good tiles to replace the broken ones, with the second win being you will have a cooler home in Summer and a warmer home in Winter.
Unlike the old way of rotating protruding 'birds' fitted to roofs, these new products are concealed and substituted actual tiles for Concrete and Terra Cotta tiled roofs. For Corrugated/Colorbond units they are attached to the roof, so they can hardly be seen, and have no moving parts which may create unwanted noise or to fail. With the 2009 Cyclones in Brisbane, you can be sure these roofing products will remain attached and intact.
